Officers

President – Fran Kinsey Maddox, Southern Methodist University

Fran Kinsey Maddox is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and the Iota Sigma chapter.  Her love for Alpha Chi Omega started there and continues to grow as she gives her time in various volunteer roles.  She currently serves as BKB’s Chapter President, Iota Sigma’s Senior Advisor, Alpha Chi Couture’s Alumnae Sponsorship Chair, and on Alpha Chi Omega Foundations Scholarship committee.  Alpha Chi Omega is where she gives her gifts and service because of the women that make up our organization – both alumnae and collegiates and because of our Fraternity’s commitment to help end domestic violence. Professionally, she is Regional Vice President of Sales for MedAssets. Fran is married to JC Maddox and Dog Mom to BusterBear and Otter.

VP Fraternity Relations – Heather Carrio, University of Oklahoma

Heather Carrio is originally from Mesquite, Texas, graduated in 2008 from the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!) and majored in Business Management.  After college, she went to work for Alpha Chi Omega Headquarters as a Chapter Consultant, from 2008-2010, traveling Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama.   She is now back in Dallas and has the career of her dreams managing a gift showroom in the Dallas World Trade Center, The Portico Collection, and handling special account sales. She joined Beta Kappa Beta in 2011 to stay involved with the organization and to make a difference in the Dallas Community.  Her ultimate goal with Beta Kappa Beta is to make Alpha Chi Omega more visible to the Dallas community and abroad through recruitment, reputation, resources, ritual and retention. She continues to volunteer on both a national and local level for AXO and volunteers with Junior League of Dallas, Young Professionals, Slipper Club and is a Genesis Young Leader.

VP Communications – Sarah Krnavek Marshall, Baylor University

Sarah Krnavek Marshall grew up in Schertz, Texas and is a graduate of Baylor University, as well as an alumnae of the Theta Iota chapter. She continued her education receiving her Master of Science from Texas Christian University. She currently works as a public relations manager for the holding company, Agencies of Change. Serving as the Alpha Chi Couture PR chair over the past few years, Sarah joined Beta Kappa Beta, so that she could meet and reconnect with the area’s Alpha Chi Omega alums. Sarah is married to Hudson  and dog mom to Mason.

VP Finance – CareyAnn Peterson, Oklahoma State University

CareyAnn Peterson is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and alum of the Gamma Epsilon chapter. She began attending Beta Kappa Beta events immediately after moving to Dallas. Between a new city and a new job, she was very overwhelmed. After her first Dallas alumnae dinner with other sisters from all over the country, she immediately felt at ease with her recent move. While she didn’t attend the same university as many of these women, there was an instant bond that made socializing effortless which is exactly what she needed. CareyAnn works as an investment advisor at Snider Advisors.

VP Programs – Janiece Graham, Southern Methodist University

Janiece Graham is a 2003 graduate  of Southern Methodist University and is an alumnae of the Iota Sigma chapter. She currently serves as a corporate account manager for FedEx. Janiece joined Beta Kappa Beta because it is a great way to connect with friends and meet new people who share a common interest.  As well, Beta Kappa Beta and Alpha Chi Couture, a joint philanthropic effort between Dallas Alpha Chi Omega alumnae and the SMU Alpha Chi Omega collegiate chapter, allow her to become re-involved with the women of the Iota Sigma chapter. She says, “It’s fantastic to see our sisterhood continue to grow with future leaders.”

VP Membership – Alexandra Bret, Southern Methodist University

Alexandra Bret graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2012 and is currently pursuing a Masters of Secondary Education.  She works part time as a tutor and a substitute teacher in the Highland Park ISD. Alexandra loved her collegiate experience as an Iota Sigma and served as vice president, intellectual development and chapter president.  After graduating, she realized that her love for Alpha Chi Omega still needed an outlet, so she inquired about alumnae membership with Beta Kappa Beta and found herself as co-vice president of membership today. She tells us she is really enjoying this new aspect of life as an Alpha Chi Omega.

Alpha Chi Couture – Megan Kinsey Steinbach, Southern Methodist University

Megan Kinsey Steinbach, originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, graduated with a BBA in Accounting from SMU’s Cox School of Business. She began her career with Frost Bank shortly after graduation and is currently a vice president in their Corporate Lending Group. She joined Beta Kappa Beta in 2007, when she became involved with Alpha Chi Couture.  She saw the opportunity to show the Dallas Community the impact Alpha Chi Omega women can have on the community.  Megan’s passion for servant leadership has her serving in various roles with other organizations in the Dallas community, including the Young Professionals of the Dallas Regional Chamber, the Spirit of Contact Luncheon benefiting the Contact Crisis Line and the WaterTower Theatre.  Megan is married to Justin Steinbach and is the proud dog mom to Cami and Gabbi.

Dallas Panhellenic Representative - Nancy Sharpe Vance

Nancy Sharpe Vance is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and is a graduate of William Woods University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She was initiated in 1976 and is an alumnae of the Delta Chi chapter. She moved to Dallas in 1980 where she and her husband started oil and gas company and eventually a family. She currently is active in the Community Partners of Dallas, Dallas Alumnae Panhellenic Association and various Dallas area neighborhood organizations and charities. She joined Beta Kappa Beta to serve as the Panhellenic Representative after reestablishing her responsibilities to our Alpha Chi Legacies and Potential New Members in their sorority recruitment journey.

Dallas Area Recruitment Info Chair – Mary Alice McLean Heckman, University of Texas

Mary Alice McLean Heckman, a graduate from the University of Texas, was initiated in 1973. She is currently a loving housewife and part-time medical receptionist. She joined Beta Kappa Beta after she moved back to Dallas from San Antonio, Texas in 1981. She tells us her first meeting was so much fun because she was able to connect with old friends and meet with new friends.

Plano-Richardson Panhellenic Representative – Kayla Discher, Albion College

Kayla Discher is originally from Plano, Texas but fortunate to live around the world as a young girl, including Singapore and Melbourne, Australia. She graduated from Albion College in 2010 and is an alumnae of the Beta chapter at Albion, Michigan. Kayla joined Beta Kappa Beta after she moved back to Dallas because she wanted to meet other newly graduated Alpha Chi Omega’s. She started by attending Young Alumnae events with other recent college graduates and continued networking within Beta Kappa Beta. Shortly after, Kayla was elected the Plano/Richardson Area Recruitment Information Co-Chair. She currently works at Ocular LCD as an customer sales & support account manager.

Plano-Richardson Recruitment Info Chair – Elizabeth Fenner, Oklahoma State University

Elizabeth Fenner graduated from Oklahoma State University and is an alumnae of the Gamma Epsilon chapter. She joined Beta Kappa Beta  because she didn’t know anybody when she first moved to Dallas and wanted to meet other Alpha Chi Omegas. She currently works as a product manager for Fidelity Investments where she creates the shareholder reports for mutual funds.

Secretary – Melissa Maddie, Florida Southern College

Melissa Maddie graduated from Florida Southern College in 2001 (Beta Omicron, Spring 1999).  She also attended graduate school at Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed a Masters Degree in Biomedical Research.  Her family (husband and three-year-old son) moved to Dallas in 2010 to be closer to family.  She currently works at Alcon Laboratories researching Anti-Infective Pharmaceuticals.  She joined Beta Kappa Beta to reconnect with the traditions and values of Alpha Chi Omega.  Melissa also wanted to help welcome and meet new members who relocated to the community; as she too is a new transplant to the DFW area.
